Poinsettia

Light: Place your Poinsettia in a bright location with plenty of indirect natural light. Avoid strong direct sunlight and very dark areas.

Watering: Water when the soil feels dry to the touch. Water thoroughly, then allow excess water to drain. Do not let the plant sit in standing water.

Temperature: Poinsettias prefer a comfortable indoor temperature and are sensitive to cold. Keep the plant away from cold windows, exterior doors, fireplaces, heating vents and sudden temperature changes.

Humidity: Normal indoor humidity is generally suitable, but very dry heated air can cause the plant and soil to dry more quickly.

Holiday care: If the pot is wrapped in decorative foil, make sure excess water can drain properly. Removing the foil temporarily when watering, or ensuring drainage holes are open, can help prevent water from collecting around the roots.

Helpful tip: Yellowing or dropping leaves can be caused by overwatering, cold drafts or insufficient light. Check the plant’s location and soil moisture before adding more water.

Pet safety: Keep Poinsettias away from pets and small children. The milky sap can cause irritation if the plant is chewed or handled excessively.
